»Active Space Debris Removal. Rights and Obligations of States in the Context of Active Space Debris Removal«: The uncontrolled increase of space debris could severely restrict, or even render impossible, the continued use of near-Earth orbits in the future. It is widely recognized that existing mitigation efforts alone are insufficient and must be complemented by active space debris removal measures to ensure the long-term sustainability of space activities. This dissertation examines the legal dimensions of active space debris removal from an international law perspective.
