This book covers all known bivalves of the Red Sea. 800 names have been applied in the existing literature, 411 were retained as valid taxa. All these species are extensively figured, both in line drawings highlighting morphological details and photographs arranged on 46 colour plates. This book was produced by ConchBooks in cooperation with the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff. The Introduction is written by John P. Hartley. The illustrations were prepared by Chris Meechan, photographs by Kevin Thomas.
